Message from our chapter President

Welcome to the official website of the Alpha Xi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., proudly serving the Shreveport–Bossier community since February 8, 1948.

As President of this historic chapter, I am both humbled and honored to continue the legacy of excellence established by our six illustrious founders. For more than 77 years, Alpha Xi Sigma has stood as a beacon of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, striving to uplift our community through purposeful action and impactful leadership.

Throughout the years, our chapter has led initiatives that promote education, economic empowerment, health and wellness, and community engagement. From revitalizing the Sigma Beta Club—cultivating tomorrow’s leaders—to championing programs in financial literacy, professional development, and inclusion, Alpha Xi Sigma remains committed to serving with distinction.

We take pride in our community partnerships and outreach programs, such as “Knock Out Obesity,” “Reading with Manpower,” and accessibility initiatives promoting sign language inclusion. These efforts reflect our ongoing mission to make a measurable difference in the lives of those we serve.

The collaborative bond between Alpha Xi Sigma and our sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. continues to strengthen our shared impact on youth mentorship, civic engagement, and social advocacy.
